SPARK MICROFIBRE TECHNOLOGY

Sustainability

An approach to using resources more efficiently through longer service life, the right product choice and responsible care.

RESPONSIBLE USE

Using products longer is one of the most direct ways to consume less.

The true value of a reusable product comes from choosing it for the right task and using it in a way that preserves performance.

Durability, reusability, surface suitability and care requirements are core criteria in the Spark portfolio.

The right product and proper care can help reduce premature replacement and extend service life.

FOUR PRINCIPLES OF RESPONSIBLE USE

Getting more service life from each product

Sustainable use is not defined by a single symbol; it is built from everyday decisions from selection through care.

01

Product Fit for the Task

Selecting the right fibre, texture, size and fabric weight for the surface and task helps reduce unnecessary product consumption.

02

Controlled Use

By making use of microfibre’s ability to collect dirt and moisture, water and chemicals can be limited to what the task requires.

03

Correct Washing and Care

Washing according to care instructions helps preserve fibre structure and cleaning performance for longer.

04

Long Service Life

Durable, reusable products can help reduce premature replacement when cared for correctly.

USE CYCLE

Preserve performance in four steps

Product life depends not only on construction but also on use and care habits.

STEP 01

Choose for the requirement

Identify the surface, type of soil and desired result, then use the appropriate product.

STEP 02

Use the right method

Choose wet, damp or dry use according to the product and surface conditions.

STEP 03

Wash according to instructions

Follow the temperature, detergent and drying guidance on the product label.

STEP 04

Reuse while preserving performance

Reuse clean, correctly maintained products for suitable tasks.

MICROFIBRE CARE GUIDE

Small care decisions affect service life.

The care label on each product takes priority. The general principles below help preserve microfibre structure and cleaning performance.

Do

  • Wash with similar microfibre products.
  • Do not exceed the temperature stated on the label.
  • Use a suitable detergent in the required amount.
  • Prefer low-temperature or air drying.
  • Check product instructions before first use.

Avoid

  • Do not use fabric softener; it can block the working channels of the fibres.
  • Do not use bleach unless permitted by the product instructions.
  • Avoid unnecessarily high washing and drying temperatures.
  • Do not wash with lint-shedding cotton textiles.
  • Avoid excessive detergent that may leave residue.
Care that can help reduce fibre release:Washing only when needed, running the machine at an appropriate load and, where possible, using a fibre-catching laundry bag or machine filter may help reduce synthetic textile fibres entering wastewater.
A REALISTIC AND RESPONSIBLE APPROACH

Sustainable use starts with accurate information.

A product’s environmental impact depends on many variables, from production and frequency of use to washing conditions and end of service life. We therefore prioritise clear information that helps users get more efficient, longer use from products.

Our goal is to support more informed choices by communicating applications, care requirements and performance characteristics more clearly.
